Affiliate Disclosure
Where commission may apply, and why we mention it openly.
Some articles on ParentsPatch contain affiliate links to products our writers genuinely recommend. If you click one of those links and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This is one of the ways we keep the publication running without selling our editorial calm to advertisers.
What this means in practice
An affiliate link does not change the price you pay. It does not change what we recommend. Our writers choose products based on whether they have used or would happily use the item in their own homes. We do not accept payment from a product company to recommend their product.
How to spot affiliate links
Affiliate links are written in plain language inside articles, never disguised as something else. Articles that contain affiliate links carry this notice or a similar one near the top of the post.
What we never do
We never accept payment to insert a brand into an article. We never write a positive review of a product we have not actually tried. We never let a sponsor change our wording. If a brand asks us to do any of these things, we politely refuse and move on.
Questions
If you ever spot a recommendation that feels off, please write to us. We would rather hear about it and update the article than leave a less-than-honest mention on the site.
